Tomi
Alatalo

CEO

With years of education in civil engineering, accounting, home design, and construction, Tomi has created many successful residential and commercial projects over his storied career. As the founder, partner and CEO he carries on his father’s tradition of excellence in the building arts, with a dedication to superior product and customer satisfaction.

Tomi has practiced his craft around the world in Finland, Canada, Hungary, England, and Macedonia, and is a board member, founder and partner with leading real estate companies both in Canada and Finland.

Tomi dedicates his spare time to family, skiing, hunting, fishing and pursuing his joy of the outdoors. Tomi is married to his partner, Piia Alatalo, with whom he has four children.

Piia
Alatalo

CFO

Holding a Master’s of Science in Economics, as well as, a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business, Piia is a postgraduate student in Aalto University’s doctoral program in Helsinki.

With experience in marketing, research, and development Piia brings a fresh perspective to the team. Her past positions as accountant and manager of financial administration in the construction industry adds to her value in the position of chief financial officer for Aalto Development Inc and Northern Lights Enterprise Inc. She is also a partner and board member of construction companies both in Canada and Finland and she has International experience in the USA, France, China and Hungary. In addition to working in global business, Piia is a proud mom of four who enjoys paddling, downhill skiing and cycling. Piia is married to her partner, Tomi Alatalo.

Tero
Malcolm

Partner, ISM Architects

Tero began his architectural education at the Technical University of Helsinki and completed the Masters of Architecture program at Dalhousie University. He also holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design Studies and Bachelor of Architectural Science. He is a member of the Ontario Association of Architects and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. Tero is proud of his accomplishments designing award-winning office buildings and successful projects in Morocco, Finland, and across Canada.

Tero is an important part of the Ontario Team and his hobbies include traveling and surfing around the world, snowboarding, and painting.

Heather
White

Client Design Services

With over 20 years of hands-on experience working with designers, developers and contractors, Heather has acquired a strong sense of what it takes to bring a homeowner’s vision to life.

Heather has worked on award-winning condominiums and single-family dwellings in both Toronto and Simcoe County. Her positive attitude, creative vision and well-honed customer service skills have earned her a reputation for creating the ultimate new home experience for her clients. With expert advice that bridges the world of design, the realities of construction and the homeowner’s hopes and dreams, Heather helps guide new home owners through design appointments with the goal to create a home they are both excited about and proud of.

Heather enjoys spending time with her family, working out at the gym and in the garden, where she relaxes and becomes one with nature.

Michael
McKenzie

Project Manager

Michael has combined his education in Advertising and Communications with his passion for building to establish a successful career in project management. With over 15 years of industry experience, his career began building custom homes in the prestigious Forest Hill and Rosedale neighborhoods.

Over the last decade, Michael has honed his expertise working for some of Canada’s largest condominium developers, managing the building of over a dozen condominiums throughout the GTA. His greatest satisfaction is bringing a project from design to conception, helping client’s dreams become realities.

Michael is an avid outdoorsman and built a family cabin in Northern Ontario, where his wife and two young children enjoy hunting, fishing and exploring the surrounding greenspaces.

Dale
Day

Client Liaison

Raised by a family of successful entrepreneurs, Dale acquired unique inspiration, insights and a passion for working with people very early on. With a degree in journalism and economics, and graduate studies in urban and regional planning, Dale brings enthusiasm, extensive knowledge, and experience to her role.

Dale thrived in community and business leadership roles with consultative and operational management positions, including owning three successful businesses. Dale’s mantra is "In life, there are no problems, there are just solutions waiting to be found."

Dale and her husband are avid backcountry explorers and are deeply involved in conservation and community sustainability efforts. She enjoys gardening and hosting family and friends.
